Today we used the day of the open door in the Přerov heating plant. After 10 o’clock in the morning we set out for a trip. We parked at the last free spot and headed for a heating plant where we stood in a row that did not move at all. When we finally got to the table of organizers, we could not decide when to go on a field trip. The first tour was available at two o’clock in the afternoon. We originally thought we were going home for lunch, and then went back again, but because Evička had soccer at 5 o’clock in the afternoon, we had to go and talk again.
We spent free time on the premises of the heating plant where there were more attractions. The first we stood at the stall where the so-called Smokeman was explaining in a very entertaining manner how to properly melt in the stoves, showed different attempts, etc. We could have tried, for example, to ignite fire by friction and even succeeded: )
We also tested lung volume. I had 4.1 liters and Evička was 1.6 liters and she was advised to go for walks and sport more 🙂
The tour itself was very interesting. We could look straight into the boilers and they talk to us about how this operation works, what needs to be done and many other interesting information.
