After a long journey, we finally arrived at the site – a former factory building that did not look very friendly from outside. But there was a completely different world inside – TEPfaktor.
TEPFaktor is a game where you perform different tasks. Tasks are physical, team and brain, but you do not have to worry about being an athlete or having a phobia. It’s such an imitation of the legendary television contest Fort Boyard, only tasks are different, so that everyone can really do it.
At the reception (on a beach) we registered as two teams and after a short preparation the game could begin.
With great tension, we were amazed to enter the first door that uncovered physically demanding discipline with a bit of dexterity. It was a room where we had to go through the room without touching the ground. Tires were tilted from the ceiling, and the tires were also on the sides of the room, assigned to the wall. By means of them it was necessary to reach without touching the ground to the other side of the room, and all the team members at the set time. For women and smaller people, this is a really physically demanding task. Fortunately, we managed to climb the other end of the room with the necessary stamp.
With enthusiasm, we walked through more and more rooms with additional tasks, but we did not finish all of them, and we had to repeat and try over the overwhelming majority. Some tasks are purely physical, others are teamwork, others are thoughtful, so everyone can find their own.
The code for opening the last room was won earlier than our second team that we competed with. We have received diplomas, badges, and gift vouchers from the attendants.
After successful completion, we went to the cottage on the beach and went to play volleyball. For the housing we chose the chaises right on the spot to enjoy it all well. The chalets are very small and with two double-deck beds, so do not expect any comfort or privacy. In addition to the atmosphere of the beach, the music of the sound of the sea and the singing of the birds was still playing, which is not very pleasant in the evening when trying to sleep.
The Temelín Nuclear Power Station
In the morning we went to Temelin where we had a reserved tour. Unfortunately, we only got to the information center, where there were many models and examples, but the direct inspection of the power plant was far from perfect.
After the tour, we went to the graphite mine in Český Krumlov. However, the circumstances brought us to Hluboká nad Vltavou, where we went to lunch and then went to Hluboká nad Vltavou Castle. Here we went to the tower, photographed in the garden, and continued our journey.
Graphite mine in Český Krumlov
At the graphite mine, we were a little early, so we sat down at the table and laughed. Before the tour, we dressed up boots, working overalls, helmets and lights and headed for a train that took us inside the rock. At the end of the tour, we were all gonna sniff ourselves hard for happiness 🙂
Graphite mine in Český Krumlov is a tourist name since 2003 of the already unloaded graphite deposit in Český Krumlov. The mine was founded in 1975 and became the youngest graphite mine in the Czech Republic.
After the excursion, there was a long search for accommodation, which we found in the end 🙂 We stayed at the Pension U Zátoky, which was a rebuilding of a family house, so we had peace and rural comfort.
Lipno Treetop Walkway
The next day we went to Lipno Treetop Walkway. Parking is free here, which is pleasing. The trail is really high, so people with the fear of the heights can have a problem here 🙂 Down the trail you can walk or use the slide that we used. But the slide was very uncomfortable in my view, because it was incredibly rude which was really unpleasant.
Lipno Treetop Walkway is a tall large tower, from which you can see a wide area, because you are over the trees and other buildings. The trail also includes educational features from nature, nature conservation and forest functions.
Because it was terribly hot out there, we went to Lipno Dam to get at least a little refreshed. Instead of licking the water, we borrowed pedal boats, which eventually turned out to be funny when we tried to sink our pedal boats or at least fill them with water as much as possible.
Adrenaline Park Hluboká nad Vltavou
Our next stop was Adrenaline Park Hluboká nad Vltavou. On the way, we went to lunch at the Český mlýn restaurant, which we strongly recommend, because they really cook great here. But after arriving at the adrenaline park, we decided that it was not worth the money and we went home.
